I installed my new 2480 scanner yesterday to a working USB port. I have a Dell 4300, 1.4 GHz, 256 MB memory, 43 GB free space on HD. From the desktop screen, EPSON Scan icon, I can satisfactorily access and perform scans. However, from the desktop Epson Smart Panel icon, I get an error message "Please Install the Suggested TWAIN driver." When in the Smart Panel mode, there is no recognition of my scanner in the small selection box in the lower left corner of the window. I don't understand why the software works OK from one access route but not via the second. EPSON Scan works on path: C:\Windows\TWAIN_32|escndv\escndv.exe whereas EPSON Smart Panel Scan and Save doesn't work (?) on path: C:\Program Files\Smart Panel\app.exe
