I have aquired a HP Laserjet 5 that had a "50 fuser error, cycle power" error, I've purchased a new fuser for no reason, because I get the same error. So, now I have narrowed down to either the DC Controller or the Power Supply. I have the service manual and I understand the process to remove and replace. However, not wanting to leave anything to chance, has anyone ever done this and is there some trick or important piece of info I should have before begining? Thanks in advance. :)
