How do you get rid of that little Windows red security icon?

Just did a reinstall of WinXP and even though I use a third party firewall and antivirus, I still see that annoying little red shield in my task bar. Anyone know how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Go to Control Panel > Security Center. From the left click on <b>Change the way Security Center alerts me</b>. Uncheck firewall.
