deleted files over network

what happens to files deleted over the network when u access someone's else computer via the network?

they are gone...
why is the network with write access ENABLED anyway? Is it a school network? files gone for sure in that case.
if it is a private network, stop any writing to the disk, use a file recovery program to get your files back.( Use Google/Yahoo to find the program) make sure you DO NOT install the recovery software in the same partition as the lost files.
