Hey guys i use my mic for talking ingames such as BF2 and i have just put it a new motherboard graphics card and CPU. When i try using my mic it is really quite even when the mic is turned up full. I dont know why that is because it was works fine on diffrent computers and it was working fine before i upgraded. I have tried it out on sound recorder and i can hardly hear it on my computer. I am using on board sound, the mic is up max on the c-media 3D Audio Configuration and on the normal sound settings. Any ideas? My motherboard is a Gigabyte 915P. Thanks

I am not sure, but can you redo the voice configuration, I havent done this in a long time, but there might be a way to adjust the pick-up and out put mic lvls.

Try this : control panel > sound and audio devices > voice (its a tab) > volume (its a button) > then turn the microphone all the way up.

1- ACLerok, you don't need to bump it because it's gone 50 mins without a response... we don't live on this forum, be patient and you'll get the help you most likely need within 24 hrs
2- Why are you bumping it anyways?? I know you have a similar problem, but you've got your own thread

What type of microphone is it?? It is one of the combined headset types, or just a stalk microphone??

There is only "C-Media Rear Panel Audio" there.

Just a thought. What speakers are you using and how are they configured on the system? If you use a 5.1 speaker system with only the 3 standard jacks, the mic is used as a speaker jack insead. Check the Advanced tab under Sound Devices and see what speaker config you have listed. Make sure it matches yours - preferably desktop stereo.

Im not using any speakers im only using a head set but i can set any other audio port to microphone and it still pics it up. However it is still quite.

Is the mic jack in the back of the pc or the front panel? If you're using the front, have you tried the back?
