i own a SAMSUNG SpinPoint P Series SP1614C 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive. I was changing some partition sizes using partition magic 8.0 when it gave me an error #632 and said that the geometry used was bad and that i would half to use a prog other than p. magic 8.0 or my O.S. to partiton the drive. I tried to use my xp install cd to formate and do a clean install but that did not work now the entire drive shows up as bad under P.M. 8.0 and i can not use the drive. when i try to formate the drive again it gives me a error #4 witch says bad something or bad geometry
can you please suggest something that will help me solve my problem. ive emailed p.m. tech support about 6 days ago and i have not heard back from them thanks for any help

Do you have any information or data that you need to keep? Or can you wipe the drives to 0 and start new?

What you need to do is download and run the hard drive diagnostic from the manufacturer's site.
I'm betting that drive needs to be replaced and if it's under warranty they owe you a new one.
