Hey guys

I recently just picket up a headset from Altec Lansing. its the AHS 202i and the Mic and Headphone Line-in do not separate longer than 4 in (theres a plastic stopper on the cord)

(the case i bought when i built my PC did not have a Mic or Stereo port in te front so i have always had to use the rear mobo connection for a mic and the connection on my speakers for the headphones.)

Therefore i would not be able to plug the mic in the back of the mobo and the headphones in my 2 channel speakers on my desk.

Is there a way i can plug all 3 (2 channel speakers, mic and headphones) in the back of my mobo.

it would be far easier than pulling the PC out every time i wanted to toggle between the headphones and speakers.

i am using onboard sound with my Asus A8N-SLI Delux mobo if it would help you guys answer this question.

Thanks, i've always had good luck with these forums, you guys are very helpful,

I would recommend useing a mini stero Y adapter that can be had at any store, then unplug the speraker from the audio card and plug in the Y adapter into to the speaker out jack of the sound card, and then plug the speakers and the headphones into the two jacks of the Y adapter and then you will have the best of both worlds at the same time, when you don't want to hear the speakers, just turn down the vol on them .

Can you try connecting the headset to the side speaker out put from the mobo, or will that not work?
