I just bought an ATI AIW 9600. The instructions say I must first install AGP drivers for non-Intel Chipset Based Motherboards before replacing my current graphics card. My current graphics card is an ATI AIW 7500. My motherboard is a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Rev. 2.0. Is the chipset on this motherboard non-Intel or Intel? If I'm right its a NVIDIA chipset. Is this an Intel chipset?
I don't want to have problems installing this card. It says an incorrect or missing GART driver can cause problems.

I should probably add that I am running an AMD 3200 and Windows 98SE. If you need more info, let me know.

Thanks

Hey neighbor. Jenison, Mi here. Your chipset is indeed nVidia. If you previously installed all the drivers on the mobo CD, you should be golden. ATI uses common drivers so you should be able to just remove the old card, install the new, start up the system and it will find the new card. Install the latest ATI driver for it and you're good to go. This assumes you're using XP as an OS.

Works well in Windows 98 as well. You should have no problems, go ahead and put your card in and it will recognize on the boot. Make sure you download the latest drivers for it.

Thanks for the quick responses. I kind of thought it would work. I just didn't feel like screwing anything up with the install.
