Greetings,

I'm have problems installing a PCI Radeon 9250 card. Currently the motherboard has a SIS graphics chip. Problem is the new card is recognised by the PC but will not fire up - presumably untill the SIS chip has been disabled??
How can I shut the chipset down?? The associated SIS software has been uninstalled while the ATI software has been loaded. Ideas or suggestions welcome...

Mick..:D

Check in the bios for an option to disable the on board video. I think disabling the on board is unnecessary when installing an AGP card because the AGP slot is given priority but not so with a PCI card.

All you have to do is disable the SiS display in device manager and uninstall the SiS drivers.
