Main DVD drive taking it's sweet time to open.

When I press the open button for my dvd drive, the light first blinks fast, but doesn't open, no matter how long I wait. I press it again then it blinks slower, still doesn't open. I do this again and again and the speed alternates from fast to slow and then by some stroke of luck it opens. What's up with my dvd drive?

I would RMA the drive right away. It should open as soon as the button is pushed. By the way which model pioneer is it?
By the way 6 hours is good when you are doing a build for the first time. Trouble starts when newbies rush the build and overlook important details.
