Delete all Palm calendar appointments

Is there a way to delete all calendar records on a Palm without having to do a hard reset? I'm looking for a way to do all of them at once on the Palm, not through Palm Desktop on the PC. Deleting 3,000+ one at a time isn't going to work, and a hard reset removes all the installed programs too, which means more of a delay in restoring from backup. Shouldn't there be some simple way to do this?
