If you are not going to OC, then I'd go with the retail version of the CPU which comes with good hs/fan combo, and also a three year warrantee. If you go OEM, then you lose the warrantee...

If I was going to pick a heatsink...I'd go Thermalright...

so heatsinks are just way to big...too much weight hangin around pullin things down....!

Thermaltake and Zalman make very nice heatsinks that are super trustworthy to keep your CPU cool. If you are modding your case and have an acrylic window and WANT to spend the extra money then stick with one color. If you buy the Zalman 9500 w/the blue LED and want to switch to a different color make sure to match the fans specs up with the original so that you dont lose any CFM's. Now keep in mind that if you are buying a non-stock heatsink that you are probably going to case mod... I did a case mod on my computer and bought a 'beefy' Aero Cool Freezer 64. Works quite nicely and keeps my CPU running around 35-39C 24/7 with a load or without.

The AMD 64 heatsinks cool just as well as anything out there if you arent going to OC or case mod to make the inside look 'cool.' Plus you can save a little money and put it towards something else.

If I were to buy aftermarket cooling for my A64, no matter what series, I would go with a Zalman CU model. If you have a small motherboard do NOT go with a 120mm model, the damn thing will cover a coupe DIMM slots and your AGP/PCIE slot.
