Is this a good motherboard for gaming?
How good?
It looks poorly constructed...Is it?
Any experienc with them? Are they good? Can I get better for cheaper or + a lil?

how much are u willing to spend on it
do u have a monitor, mouse, keyboard and Operating system or will it be in the budget

what do u intend to do with this build? play games?
any preference intel or AMD (that board was intel)

ECS boards are known for being cheap, and often shoddy boards. Some of them are pretty nice, but that doesn't appear to be one of them. I could understand buying an ECS board if you only had 30 bucks for a motherboard, but if you're in the 120 dollar area there are MUCH better options. Go for something like an Asus or DFI.

DFI are known to be okay. If I were choosing id stay within the realm of ASUS or A-BIT boards. both have good reputations.

uer board is socket 939..the fastest amd cpu i can think with that socket is athlon 4800 which costs a lot..

XION power supplies are junk. You will need a Quality ATX 2.0 power supply from a reputable maker. See the second thread in the general hardware forum for a list of good brands. DFI motherboards are good, but can be tricky to set up, more of an experts board than a first build board. An ASUS would be a better choice.

For your PSU get an Antec or Enermax. Those two are the best brands with great PSU.
