I have come upon some car trouble so I had to can cancel my 2800USD build but decided to upgrade from my AIW 9800Pro to a x850xt pe.
On newegg I found an ATI made card and an ASUS made card both look to be about the same spec wise but there is about a 50 USD difference in them. Scince the ASUS is cheaper would it be the better buy?
The Asus got 5 of 5
The ATI got 4 of 5

Same. Buy the ASUS and save the money. ASUS makes great vid cards.

I've always found the quality of Asus vid cards to be excellent, though I haven't bought that brand in a while. I wouldn't hesitate to go for Asus.

Either is fine...make sure you have a hefty power supply. Those X850's need a good deal of power. What kind of power supply do you have? (Brand and wattage rating)

I have a Sapphire x850 xt with a 420 watt PSU with a bunch of accessories hooked up to it. Never had any problems under heavy load. You should be fine with that.
