My buddy gave me a new Toshiba cd burner and I want to install this in my Dell.I already have a Nec 3540 dvd burner installed which does not handle music cd's very well.I know that one will be master and one is slave.
How do I install the Toshiba?Do I need another cable?And where can I find a guide to help me thru this.

Welcome to PC Mechanic !! :)

I don't mess much with Dells, so I'm not sure if they would have any extra IDE channels to hook up more drives with. If you post the actual dell model and some specs I'm sure someone will be familiar with it.
