Can some one explain the typical procedure for installing an OEM drive into a new build. Actually, everthing but the physical install part :)

Just make sure you have the drive plugged into the Master IDE channel, verify your BIOS detects it successfully and you should be all set.

OEM and retail hard drives are exactly the same physically and they both install into the computer in the same manner. The only difference is the retail hard drive comes in a box with a manual and an installation CD (which you don't even need).

Look at this: Hard drive installation (http://www.mechbgon.com/build/harddrive.html)

And then check out the whole build your first computer tutorial (http://www.mechbgon.com/build/index.html).

Oh man! Thanks for that link, that's awesome :) I guess I was just unsure about when I install winxp pro and the drivers for all my drives (hdd,cd burner,cd rom, etc) if I purchase all OEM.

Drives don't need drivers, they are all native to Windows. Controllers need drivers.

Since you are ordering oem parts, you can download any manuals that you don't get from the manufacturers website. Reading through them a few times would be a good idea.
