Ok, so i just got my new LCD screen and there's already something on the screen, it's not noticable when I'm on it, but when I turn it off you can see the marks. Are there any LCD cleaning solutions? Or a way to get things off, without wrecking the screen?
when i bought my compressed air from Best Buy there was a package deal for monitor wipes so i bought that. check at newegg or an electronics store or if you live near a best buy get them from there.

Store-bought liquid made specifically for LCD Monitors usually gets the job done - otherwise, water or isopropyl alcohol work perfectly. Do not use paper towels or anything course that may permenantly scratch the screen surface. Try looking for a soft cloth and again, store packaged cloth made specifically for cleaning monitors work well. Spray the cloth and run it along the screen.

At most stores that sell computers and accessories you can buy lcd screen cleaners. They are littel dispasable clothes in a foil packet liek a wetnap for eating ribs. Make sure they are for lcds tho. Or you can go to Autozone and get those soft car detailing clothes and spray it with isopropyl alcohol or endust.

A damp cloth(NO water dripping from it) will do for general cleaning.
For tough spots, use NO more than a 50% alchohol solution and a soft cloth. Old T-shirts (clean ones) work very well. Stroke the cloth across the display in one direction, moving from the top of the display to the bottom.
