Problems running Nightfire

Hi,

I came in here a few months ago asking about a problem i had running 007 Nightfire as it kept saying-
Please insert the correct Cd rom.

But the correct Cd rom was inserted:confused:and there isnt no scratches are anything on the disks.
Anyway some other members just told me to make virtual images of the game onto my hard drive using Alchol 120% and it would work but how do i do that as i have now downloaded Alchol 120%?

And yes before anyone asks it is a genuine copy:D

I'm kinda wondering if a drive letter changed on you (like if you installed a new drive(s) or repartitioned or the like). Change anything recently?

You need to use alcohol to image the cd on a virtual drive and install from the virtual drive so that when you play it it will look at that virtual drive for the "original cd" since that is where it was installed from.

No i have not done any of the above.

Okay so could you possibly tell me step by step how i would do that as ive never used Alchol 120% before.

I don't know what else you've got on your PC but a 'no cd crack' is what you're being advised to get .
This can be legal, or not ( FarCry actually advised it for a while. ) depending on what's going on with the game.
I think you've got some more Googling to do.

I know i can just google for the No-cd crack but can you help me out a little here as im not sure what site to get it from and when i do get the patch where do i have to put it in the game files?:rolleyes:

...be careful since hackers plant files (so you download to desktop and scan.).
This isn't illegal but it is a major risk so, if you're not able/prepared to to keep your guard up, don't go near it.
As for where to put the game patch, they do come with installs (nice of them) or they come with directions.
Open up the game file and look for the exe/run (It's one or the other) to figure out what goes where but if it's a problem someone on the game's forum will PM you instructions.
