I just got this brand new card for christmas and attempted to install it. I am not a super computer savvy person, but I can manage.

Anyways, I went to install it (after getting rid of the old video card drivers and such) and put in the catalyst disk and everything. That was installed fine and I went to restart and now the screen looks horibble. It won't let me turn up the resolution ( like 400 x 600 or something like that)or change it to better than 4 bit color mode.

THe card is an x800 agp card and also it says that its the defualt monitor. I also looked in the device manager and it says there aren't enough rescources to run the card and there are two instances of it running, primary and secondary. What do I do?

The two instances of it running is normal - one instance is for the DVI cable, the other is for the VGA cable. Can you list your full sys specs? Prebuilt? Self-built? Also, can you elaborate on "not enough resources"? Or is that all that the system gives you?

Did you remove all your old drivers first? If not do in and remove "all" video drivers even catalyst. Then remove the video card in device manager. Reboot and redo the install from scratch.
