graphics question

i recently came in contact with 200 dollars and ive been planing to attempt to get a better card for my gaming and then maybe BF2 but anyways im not sure if i even can get a better card for my system not that the one i have is that great just well i have a dell 2400 alittle over a year old i am preety sure the slots i have are pci and i have 3 extra ones i currently have some really crappy 64 mb intel extreme graphics card that came with me computer im not planing on getting a super card just a like a redeon 256 or so but before i go out and buy anything i want to know if its even worth the time or at least if there even is a card i can get

Check in there again to see if you don't have an AGP slot, because yes it will be worth it to replace the current graphics on that PC because if I'm not mistaken it is integrated graphics, so you will not only get much better and responsive system you'll free up the shared memory also..

how do i tell the diffrence between the slots? and also ive never opened it i just know that there is 3 unused slots

Compare them to see which looks like the one on your motherboard.

Sorry, I don't believe the Dimension 2400 has any slots besides PCI. You are stuck with PCI cards, or a system makeover (new case, motherboard, power supply, and OS).

also my friend has a 4800 one step us from mine and he got a nvidia card it was like 500$ and it worked really good on his system

also i am planing on getting a new stick or RAM for that i would use the extra DIMM 184- pin memory slot.... i currently have 510 mb is this enough for the new card and to run a game like B2
