Office 03' Installation Troubles

Ok, I am trying to install office 2003 into a dell lattitude X1, a nice little laptop, except office freezes when trying to install the registry values and gives no error message, windows doesn't even freeze up just the office installation .....:( Anybody have this happen to them or have any ideas?

No, neither of those helped, it still freezes at "writing system registry values", is it possible that the registry needs to be modified or there is a problem with the registry directory. Also, can't seem to find much about this problem on microsoft's support page. And just to let you know it is a brand new laptop

You've got all the security software disabled during the install?
If you've got a trial version of Norton running that could be your problem.
