Quake 4 freezing???

Okay I have the DVD version of Q4.
PC spes are:
P4P800se
1gig Dual channel DDR400
Pentium 4 3.0 with HT
x850XT PE AGP
DVD ROM
DVD Burner
420 Watt Thermaltake
Raptor 37ish gig boot HDD
160gig Storage HDD
Aerocool Case

I can run the game totaly maxed out at 1024x768 then when I get the battle rifle or whatever and I try to zoom in it freezes. so then I set it to recommended srttings and it still froze. ATI driver are up to date
Any Ideas?

Have you given the scope time to load? I noticed the demo would lock up for a few seconds for whatever reason when I tried to zoom in. Dunno why it's doing it though.

Yep. The freeze is like 30-40 sec. If I hit escape it will go to the menu after it unfreezes.
