error message when installing

im gettin this error constantly when attempting to install some programs.

im running windows xp pro if it helps.

Did you disable all your security software before you tried to install the games ( and which games are you installing?) ?
Have you scanned your computer for malware?
Are you running any software that creates a virtual cd and confuses the game installer?
If you've done that have you checked at the games' forums to find out if there are any known install problems?
