Error with CS

I have Counter Strike 1.6 no-steam, and when i try to join a server it says something that i dont understand. Here look at the pic, how can i play on the internet?

i dont run CS but it seems to me you are trying to join a LAN game, and unless you have a local server (I.E a server on you internal network) it wont play, if you are sure you dont try to play a lan game i suggest gamespy, it will find CS ad give you a list of servers for you to play on, there is more software that can do this for you but i dont know any off the top of my head.

If i were you i would just use the cd key you use for 1.5 and get steam. Its a quick download and once you download cs, it will be much easier to just open steam and play. If you want to go to www.steampowered.com

I wouldn't reccomend Gamespy anyways, although it's good for Quake 3 and some others, it is sometimes considered spyware.
