I am currently in the middle of an xp install. Right now it says I have 238473 MB of unpartitioned space. My question is should I create a partition or just leave the whole thing unpartitioned. Thanks

How big is your hard drive advertised as?
EDIT: Reading your post over again, I noticed that you have not yet even started to install WinXP - not important is right - your drive is 250GB advertised. You could go many ways here, where making one big partition of the 23000+ MB is an option.

I asume that would be a 250GB drive. Is it your Primary drive?
I prefer to make partitions on my Primary drive to use for differnt things (OS one one-Files on another-B/U's on another) or whatever your needs may be. It also makes it much quicker to defrag. I make the OS partition about 20GB's and divide the rest as needed.
