Hello all, I'd like to introduce myself, Tim, the confused.

My first problem I'll ask help for is how to launch my
System Monitor in Win 98 SE. I did not install it initially so I
tried to use Windows Setup in the Add/Remove function of Control Panel
which wouldn't work until I also selected the System Resource Meter. So,
it looked like I got it uploaded from the Win 98 SE disk (OEM). But, I couldn't find it on my comp. I searched, got nothing and threw my hands up in the air and found
out about you all from CDNet.
Anyone have any clearer idea of how I can get the #$%@!! thing uploaded from
the disk? I believe the last time I tried to locate and upload a file from the
Win98 disk I had the same problem last week.

Many thanks,

Tim

It should have installed a shortcut in Accessories - System Tools. If not, use Find and search your Windows folder for sysmon.

Thank you, Chancellor,

My next problem is how to use the program. To do what I think I want to do (ugh!), it gives me this:

To monitor your computer's network or disk access

On the Edit menu, click Add item.
In the Category list, click the category of feature you want to monitor.
In the Item list, click the item or items you want to monitor.
Note
To view a definition of an item in the Item list, click the item, and then click Explain

However there is no EDIT menu. Up top where I expect an edit menu to be is only HIDE, BACK, FORWARD, OPTIONS, WEB HELP buttons and below three tabs.

Is there a way to find this edit menu?

Gratitude,
Tim

You are still in the help system. Close this and go back to the program. Edit is there trust me.
