I am having a problem installing Windows 98 on a machine. The hard drive has been formatted and is completely clean. I use a startup disk to get the minimum items available (including my CD ROM) and installation appears to be performed normally.
When the Windows 98 files are done being copied to the drive, the machine restarts, and this is where the problem lies.
After checking that the hard drives, CD ROM, and Floppy A: is installed, while still in a DOS mode the letters "LI" are displayed with the cursor to the right of them. The machine is stuck here and only Ctrl-Alt-Del works.
Any idea as to what might be going on? What might be the hangup in the installation? What can I do to get this to complete?
Any and all responses are appreciated.
