OK now i got together,
AMD Athlon 64bit X2 3800+
Asus A8N-SLI premium
Powercolor X850XT PE
4*512MB Kingston 400 ddr
Creative SB Audigy 2ZS PE
2*LG DVD RW
Western Digital 250 GB IDE HD
2*WD 120 GB SATA HD
Thermaltake Big water Cooling system
Thermaltake 480W Purepower

I put em all into a Thermaltake Shark Case

everything correct, every single pin is in the right place
The motherboards light is on, showing there is power. However nothing happens when i press the power button of the pc. Ive put POWER SW and all others in the right direction right place, did everything correct. Dunno what to do, its just like ive got every piece for creating a human but it just doesnt come alive. Maybe ive made a ridiculus sily mistake in hardware selection. I'd be glad if u could help

your case's power button could be faulty. bad wiring maybe. its all i could think of without more info. sorry.

Well Maybe i suggest you find your Power Switch Pins on the Mobo and unplug the wires from the switch and use maybe a flathead screwdriver and touch both of the pins to short them and to see if the computer turns on! if so its your power button or wireing (i found that if you have a spare jumper laying around it works better than the flathead :D )

I tried shorting the pins, it doesnt work. Maybe i demaged mb while instaling the water cooling system. Is it possible_?. In my opinion, even if i demaged the cpu, any of the cards or memories, the system would still start. I would get error messages after. I think I have a motherboard problem. waiting for support :)

Have you tried assembling it outside of the case and powering up? The motherboard could be grounded when it's in the case. Follow the steps here (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409)

Ok i set it up outside the case, it didnt work either. I tried, just in case my old codegen 400w powersupply. and guess what? the pc is on!

the brand new 480w thermaltake is faulty!!!!
i just purchased it with sealed box and everything but it doesnt power up my old pc as well!!! interesting isnt it?

now my graphics card has only dvi outs. I connect my Philips 19" LCD through dvi adapter to my graphics card but it says no video input. I connected the power to the card as well. and its fan spins. it tightly attached to motherboard. The motherboard is SLI ready and nvidia chipped. my card is however ati x850xt. can that be the problem?? Also there are a few more empty inputs on the card next to the power connection cable. They look like a fan and a auidio thingies but i dont know what they are to be honest. Do you know anything about them?

Oh I believe the problem is the power supply. The old power supply can not actually support the pc itself. Im planning to buy a 535w enermax sli and amdx2 supporting psu. i hope thatll work
