Hi guys,

Going to attempt my first build from scratch. I think I've done my homework on this but if someone could give it a quick once-over that would be great. I'll be using the system for gaming and also writing up my thesis.

My only concerns are:

Cooling - will the retail CPU fan and the two case fans be sufficient?

Noise - my assumption is that the AMD Cool 'n' Quiet should keep power usage, and hence noise, low while working/writing (I don't care about noise when gaming!). What I've read about the components suggests they'll all autoregulate their cooling. Am I right on that?

HDDs - I've gone for two HDDS. The smaller SATA II for Windows XP Pro, Office, etc. for rapid boot-up and then the larger SATA with its NCQ for data and games. Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Jez

Everything looks okay to me except for the power supply (is that a Thermaltake?). If you plan to do SLI you need a SLI certified power supply. Here's the list of SLI certified power supplies. (http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone2_build.html#certified_powersupplies)
