If your case says 20-Pin connector power supply, can it still be used by a 20/24 Pin power supply? The power supply with my case I bought came with a 20 pin. But I bought another PSU with 20/24 pin. (not knowing the difference) is there one? or are they compatible...

I'm not sure I understand your question. You only need one power supply; you don't need two, so the question of whether one PSU is compatible with another doesn't make much sense. Or are you talking about whether a PSU is compatible with a certain motherboard?

I'm gonna take a stab here and assume that you bought a case that came with a power supply that you plan to remove and replace with the new psu that you bought. The two will interchange in the case just fine as long as they are both ATX form factor. The 24 pin power supply should be usable with a motherboard requiring only 20 pins. The additional 4 pins are detachable usually on the 24 pin repalcement power supplies.

Bingo. I bought a case and I was told to get a new PSU. So I bought a new one with out looking into the amount of pins it had. I found out that the new PSU (Aspire 600W) had 20/24 pin and the old PSU (Rosewell 400W) had 20 pins. Anyway, both are ATX...thanks for the help.

Aspire PSU's are not known for their quality and is probably not much better than the Rosewill that came with the case. If possible, I would return it and get a better one. There is a listing of known quality PSU's here: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195
