Hardware..
Have a new TFT Monitor 19" Belinea which is DVI-D and VGA compatible.
Also have an ASUS Graphics Card (EN6600 TD Silencer) with nVidiaGeForce which has DVI-I and VGA Graphics capabilities.
Have WindowsXP PRO OS.
ABIT AN8 Fatality Motherboard.
1Gb PC2700 Kingston Memory.

Problem....
VGA displays (from boot and thereafter) with a background of dark-green but otherwise works OK.(Not satisfactory)!!
DVI works with the correct graphics colours from boot but only up to the Windows Logo Splashscreen. Then I get the screen display of "no signal...check the cable"
Tried three cables...DVI Single and dual channel with no difference, plus VGA cable.
Any possible solutions please.
Help.

Try booting into safe mode and set the resolution of the video card to the native resolution of the monitor; probably 1600x1200 and refresh to 60hz.

19" LCD native resolution is 1280x1024, and use 60 Hz to begin with. Uninstall and reinstall your chipset and video drivers.

Have discovered that the DVI display problem is caused by the nVIDIA driver. An all in one driver and the most recent update from nVIDIA. Going to try a roll back to the driver before when I can get my hands on it.
The dark green display through the normal VGA mode was caused by the new 19" TFT Monitor from Belinea and now replaced which has solved that problem.
However, the new nVIDIA driver will work with DVI in safe mode only.
Very strange.
