i have stared buying parts for a new build. so far i have bought...
1. mb dfi lanparty ultra nf4 939
2.evga 6800xt video card
3. corsair 3200 ddr value ram

i need information on a power supply and have a question about 24 pin vs.20+4 connectors.

at this time i only plan to use one video card.

i also need to know if the power supply is compatible with the case which i have not selected yet.

any inout will be appreciated.

at this time i only plan to use one video card. Are you getting the DFI motherboard that supports SLI? If you are you'll want a SLI ceritified power supply from this list (http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone2_build.html#certified_powersupplies).i also need to know if the power supply is compatible with the case which i have not selected yet.As long as the power supply and case follow the standard ATX form factor they fit together nicely.

yea, if the motherboard has a 24 pin connector, which are the newest technologies, then make sure your power supply is a 24 pin connector, or, alternatively you can use one that is 20+4 connector. The Enermax Whisper II 535 watt SLI certified is going for about 90 bucks at newegg, and thats a great deal.
