right now i have an msi k8n neo4-f connected to a seagate sata150 hd. For when i want to go sli i am selling my current mobo to a friend and buy an asus a8n sli board. my msi had sata 150's but the asus has sataII's. so my question is that can i plug my hd in the sata II's and jsut have it run the speed of a sata150. thanks.

Yes, I believe they are compatible. If you are going to be using a Dual Core CPU - look for Asus A8N-SLI SE - which comes updated with full dual core support.

Is the one I am prolly getting. I have never used asus before but from what I hear on "da streetz" they are nice boards and good overclockers.

Yes, that is a nice board, and ASUS is one of the best (IMO) for reliability. I am not sure about Overclocking - but I haven't heard anything good or bad about ASUS boards when it comes to that.

But just make sure that if you have an AMD x2 CPU - that board's BIOS chip doesn't support it out of the box. If you don't have an X2 - then no worries.

interesting. IT says on newegg that it supports x2's. Then some people say you have to call asus to get a new bios chip, but others say it supports x2's out of the box. Well only one way to find out, upgrade my 3200 venice to an x2.

Well I wish you luck that it works out of the box.
