Hey guys.

I put togther a new pc about 2 weeks ago. It is as follows.

AMD 64 3000+
Gefore 6600 OC
1.5 G Ram Kingston and OCZ
Windows home
MSI K88M-V Mother board
SATA 60G HD

It only runs for about an hour then I get a no sync message on my monitor. Any ideas?

How many case fans you got in there?

What kind of system temps are you seeing?

Try running the computer with the sides off and have a small fan blowing into the case and see if the same problem occurs or not.

Is your video card overclocked? Have you tried running it at stock speeds?

How old is the monitor?

What brand is the monitor?

Yes its and OC vid card, but I haven't adjusted the setting at all since I purchased it.

Its a new sony monitor, purchased about 3 months ago. hd-75p or something

I've heard of problems like this before and it turned out to be a faulty motherboard. The motherboard might be slowly heating up over an hour and the expansion might be causing one of the solder joints to open a bit and the problem occurs. Just a thought.
