My project to turn a second computer here into an old-school game playing box is coming together, but there still exists the problem of not enough game ports. Question: Anyone used and could possibly recommend an add-on card with multiple game ports? Did such a thing ever exist?

I ran some searches on Pricewatch and Google, but I guess since PC gamers have never really embraced joysticks and game-pads for the purposes of playing multiplayer stuff like on a console, these cards have apparently gotten hard to come by if they ever did exist.

Xayd,

Check out the CH Gamecard 3. Features two extra joystick ports, but it's ISA. Is this what you were looking for? It's available for $39.95 from their online store. HTH

Personally I would go with USB if the computer supports it.
If those game controllers are not of the 'expensive' class (such as force feedback etc., with their special software) but of the 'standard' class then just buy USB-gameport adapter for each of 'em, and well, with USB. . . 127 devices to one port, just with hubs. . shouldn't be a problem.

What's the actual amount of ports that you need ?

Problem is this machine is also running several servers, and I'm trying to avoid going up to Win2k. It's currently running NT 4, hence no USB support.
