As you can see from pic that my Hdd is right at the front.
I went to my freids house today and you cant realy hear his hdd.
Id run the diagnostics on it and make sure its not on its way out.

That pic on link isnt my pic from outa my comp.
I just posted it to show how my Hard drive is possitioned in mine as it is in the same place as the picture.
Mine is a Seagate Barracuda.
FLG- Im running tests on it now.
Here is what Seagate has to say about that:
What should I do for a noisy disc drive?
All of our new Parallel ATA (PATA) drives and our new Serial ATA (SATA) drives are optimized for performance, we do not have a utility that can slow them down.
Every disc drive makes a certain amount of noise while running. Normally, the faster the drive motor spins, the higher pitched the resulting sound will be.
It is also normal for the drive to make sort of a "chattering" or "clicking" sound while it is reading and writing data.
However, if the sound coming from your drive has recently changed or is an excessive grinding or clanking noise, this may indicate a physical problem with the drive.
To isolate whether the noise is coming from the drive or the drive interface:
Shut down your system.
Make sure you have read the information above.
Disconnect the data cable.
Leave the power cable attached.
Apply power to the drive.
If the noise is still there, it may be coming from the drive.
FLG-
I run those tests on it.
Heres the results they were ok.
Run: 13/02/2006 18:24:22
Primary IDE Channel : ST3120022A
Model: ST3120022A
Serial Number: 5JT3HBHQ
Capacity: 120.03 GB
Test result: Self-test routine completed without error.
Would moving the hard drive make any differance do you think?
By the way thanks Glc for that info.
Its possible the case vibrating is adding to the HDD noise. Since it didnt find anything i woudlent worry, though id still back up my important data either way.
Ok thanks guys,
I regualy back up anyway.:)
