Just looking for a recommendation on a vid card, put my order in last week and they are back order and have no patience to wait. Looking for a PCI-E card and not overly expensive. Thanks for your help

What is your budget? Are you into heavy or light gaming? What will you be using the system for?

Light to medium gaming, budget wise was looking $200-$250 Canadian. The comp will be used for gaming a little movie/TV watching and then the usual stuff.

I was hoping one of our Canadian members to jump in... I don't have a link for shopping up there, but, since your not heavy into gaming, something like this:

might fit the bill. It's OK for light gaming but has TV capibilities (and more). At $179 USD, I'm guessing that is in your price range.

You could also consider a little stronger gaming card and a seperate TV tuner.

Here's an even faster card with the same capabilities....NVIDIA 6800GS:

Yes, it's a faster card, but it is TV out only; it doesn't have any of the TV in / capture or PVR capabilities of the AIW.

Ah true. Man, I'm on a crappy run today....Monday.:(

I'd still get it and a capture card if you want to game as well as view TV.

If you want the TV capabilities and good Graphics the AIW 9800Pro is a great card. I had it until I maxed out my Mobos capabilities and bought my new card.(X850XT PE, 1337 =P) Never had any problems with it. Ran HL2 maxed out with it at 70+ FPS with cheap ram, and used the TV tuner a couple times and used it to transfer VHS to DVD.
Or if the AIW x800 is cheap look at that one as well.

I'd look into the Radeon X800GTO's. They are cheap and perform very well, and if you're into overclocking you can unlock it to be an X850PE with stock cooling. He never said anything about TV capabilities, but if thats your bag you can just get a TV Tuner PCI card for 30 bucks (USD).

If you want a TV tuner builtin, there's only one PCI-E All-in-Wonder under $300 CDN, and that's the ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 2006 Edition X1300 450MHZ 256MB 400MHZ DDR3 PCI-E HDTV Video Card

NOT a very good gamer. If you want a good gaming card and don't need a TV tuner, you can get a 6800GS in the mid 2's.
