is the agp slot going to be phased out by the pci-e 16? i'm just wondering for future purposes :)

definetely the cards that have recently come out I don't think support AGP
AGP is just for people that don't have enough money to upgrade to PCI-E

Yes. AGP will eventually be phased out by PCI-Express.

AGP has been around for about 8 years now, and it was supposed to phase out legacy PCI video cards - but there are still entry level motherboards with only legacy PCI slots and there are plenty of legacy PCI video cards being made and sold. I would not watch over AGP's grave - it's gonna be around for quite a while longer. You just won't see AGP technology keeping up with PCI-E.
