thinking of upgrading my cpu, I now have a celery 566 coppermine fc-pga running at 850mhz solid as a rock with micron pc133 c2 ram. I don't want to go to the p3 1 gig, so which cpu would be the most likely to over clock in the asua cusl2-c mb that is in the 800mhz range, and would maybe overclock to say 1 gig if I wanted to.
reboot

The PIII 800E is your next best bet. You should get a gig out of it.

thanks reboot, I'll order one today.
Make sure you order the 800E (8x100), not the 800EB (6x133). With luck it will run at 8x133.

thanks glc, I did look at that. just a question, I just for the fun of it stuck a cellery 800 in it and it defaults to 100mhz buss instead of 66, did I miss something here? I though all cellerys were 66mhz, and I doubled checked and this is a celeron 800, vc is labled at 1.7, I didn't know they made a celery with a 100mhz fsb.
confused

well I'll be, guess what, this little puppy climbed up to 1066mhz and running at 104 deg f, guess I have to get a better h/s and fan for this and just keep it
and all I did was set the fsb to 133, and away she went without a burp. dare I try for more?

well this puppy has been running at 1gig all this time and the only time the temp goes up is when I play falcon 4.0, and it only goes to 125F, guess that ain't bad.
ordered a vantech cck 6035D today with some articsilver2, that should cure the temp problem for good.
