View Full Version : prescott processor needed to use 6600GT?

hi again, i was reading the the specs on this 6600GT i'm planning on buying

and i ran saw that it said that i need a pent. 4 prescott class

processor or higher!:eek: i'm using a northwood, but i always thought that

as long as you have the right psu, then you can use the card.

That's nuts. It should even run fine on a P3.

so you think that a northwood processor should work with this card? i know that sometimes newegg gets the product description wrong.

I'm betting they took that spec from the PCI-E version of the card, because it says LGA775 only. Considering hte fact that there are very few AGP motherboards with LGA775, that sounds like a mistake.
