Possible virus, and how to get rid of it?

My computer says I may have a virus. It is called Adaware Generic, is there anyway to rid my computer of this? Is it really a virus? I use Adaware SE on my computers. Thanks!:confused:

Go to Trendmicro and run house call,it will scan your computer on line and will report and remove any viruses.

And, after HouseCall finishes, you will want to install some sort of AV on your computer. I personaly like Avast Free, other like AVG... both work well. Adaware SE doesn't protect against Viruses... just so you know.
