Via the guide on this site, what tools will i need?
Nothing special - common hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, etc.) is plenty.

Something that I've found invaulable is a small pair of those pliers that look similar to sizzors that have the lock to grip things. I find them great for changing those little jumpers on mobo's, HD's, CD-Rom's ect. Picked up serveral sizes and shapes at a computer show for about $1.00 a pair.

Tweezers come in very handy for me. They're long enough to reach into the small spots and they also work for jumpers. Be careful not to use a magnetic screwdriver. You don't want to accidently zap something on your board. I'm not sure if the magnetic power used in some screwdrivers is enough to wreck a hard drive, but I just like to be on the safe side.

I once saw a technician use a power screwdriver with interchangable magnetic tips to build a computer. The magnetic fields that the motor from the screwdriver generates are pretty strong but I guess they're not strong enough to damage the harddisk or any other components.

Yea i've seen people using them but I prefer to play it safe and just use a regular one. Especially if I'm working on a machine that isn't mine.
