Ok, laugh if you want. This is going to sound so rookie it's not even funny. I just got a new case with a case temp display on the front. My question is, is this for the processor temp or the case temp? If it's for the processor how do I go about hooking it up? It has a flat end on the wire and reads just fine but I don't know if I have it in the right spot. Forgive me for being so naive

The temp sensor (the flat end) should go close to whatever you want to measure the temp of. You can put it close to the CPU, GPU or harddrive to measure the component temp although it would indicate somewhat cooler than actual temp. It can also be left hanging loose in the case to measure the ambient case temperature.

Ok, thanks for answering what I'm sure seems like a really stupid question to most people.
