Does anyone know how to boot using the lan? Also, will this work if I'm using a Wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet using that computer. Also, again, can I do this over the WAN? I'm interested because I have FTP server software on that coputer and I want to be able to access the computer from anywhere etc. My ISP doesn't allow FTP so I want to be able to login, go to my router and forward port 21 to my computer and then I will be able to access my FTP server for a limited amount of time until I unforward the port through the router. Any help will be appreciated.

don't know alot but I know one of the minimums is a NIC with a Boot ROM on it. I don't believe that is possible with a USB device...

It will never happen over wireless anyway - the adapter is not associated with the access point when it's powered off. You need a wired connection with either a boot rom or boot rom emulator, and something that can send a "magic packet" to it.
