No one single program does it all: raftero's list of three is a good one.

Same as GLC,except since my parents pay for Norton Anti-Virus i use that. I did use AVG before i bought a legit version of XP, and i had no problem with AVG, since it was free and did everything i asked, it was perfect. I also have Windows Anti-Spyware

Wow! GLC and I are on the same page. I use the same four programs as standard on all customer computers.

If the customer is a known spyware magnet and the computer has plenty of horsepower I will also install M$ Antispyware. I haven't seen Windows Defender yet but I'm seeing mixed reviews on that - so I dunno what I'm gonna do with it. MSAS is good till the end of June. I'm considering offering the pay version of Ewido instead, I'm *very* impressed with that software.

Me too.

I ran all the four basic programs on my own system several days ago and then went to Ewido's online scan. After scanning clean with all of my trusted programs, Ewido found 48 infected items the others had failed to detect. Three were trojan files.

I'm becoming an Ewido believer.
