I built my computer from scratch using a VIA PT880 NEO motherboard and a Northwood P-4 socket 478. I am using windows xp Professional, a gateway plasma flatscreen (plug n' play), a 52x cdrw, a 200GB HD, and finally a NVIDIA GeForce 5200 FX 256mb graphics card. I have a usb mouse and keyboard along with printer and scanner. I often get a blue screen of death error with the message: IRQ IS NOT LESS OR EQUAL. I also occasionally get PFN LIST IS CORRUPT, THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER, and some error that microsoft tells me is a compatibility issue but I checked and all my stuff is compatible with XP PROF. Please help me!!

P.S. It usually only happens during startup or during strenuos activity such as gaming or virus scanning.

You have a problem with one of your device drivers. I'd look for updates for all of them and update the ones that have updates, and reinstall the ones that don't. Start with the motherboard chipset, then the video card.

Thanks for the help. it seemed to be the motherboard driver and bios. I never tried updating those because the first thing I saw was that I needed a floppy drive and I didnt have one but I found another way. It seems that the motherboard had many issues with all of its various ports but mainly the agp port hence the thread stuck in device driver error. Thanks a mil:D
