alright i have little experience but i do have my brother who is well versed in computer manufacturing. i need no mouse,keyboard,monitor,os,or speakers and all in all im looking at spending a grand at the most. i want killer ram and a massive hard drive. i like the alienware cases and i want to make sure everything will work together. so please give me a list of the components you would buy matching what little i have givin you if you had a thousand dollard to spend gratefully submitted, one234oclock

What do you plan on doing with this computer? How intense a gaming machine do you need? You know you cannot buy Alienware cases by themselves.

i like gaming extremely alot but i will use it mostly for downloading gigantic ammounts of media, whether it be songs or video

Have you decided if you want to go with an AMD or Intel based system? Intels are traditionally though of as multitaskers while gamers perfer AMD CPU's.

The optical drive and OS you chose are fine.

I would change the power supply in that case. If you like the case you can keep it, just buy a power supply such as an Antec here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103937

The video card you chose is an AGP, which won't work with the PCI-Express motherboard that MakeYourslf suggested. A 6200 is also very underpowered for a gaming machine. Take a look at the 6800 or even 7800 series of cards.

That Aspire PSU won't do, despite the high price, it's poor quality. The one Alaron linked to is much better.

The onboard sound on the motherboard is better than that cheap sound card. You don't need it.
