Last night power went off. After it came cack, I turned my PC on and I got message on startup: CMOS checksum error- loading defaults.

I reset my pc BIOS, have some questions:

AGP APERTURE SIZE(MB): I have 256Mb RAM, video- AGP 32MB, what setting I should use here?

SDRAM LEADOFF COMMAND: 2 or 3? I also have SDRAM CAS LATENCY TIME setup on 2.

PCI/VGA PALETTE SNOOP: I have ENABLED. My video card is AGP. Is ENABLED right?

VIDEO OFF METOD: I have DPMS- is that right?

These I have ENABLED(is it right setting[s]?:
SYSTEM BIOS CACHEABLE
VIDEO BIOS CACHEABLE
VIDEO RAM CACHEABLE

TIA for any help.

AGP APERTURE SIZE(MB): Generally set to half your RAM, but 64Mb seems to be more than enough.

SDRAM CAS LATENCY TIME setup on 2, if your system is running fine there, you have CAS2 memory and should leave it set there.

PCI/VGA PALETTE SNOOP: I have ENABLED. My video card is AGP. Is ENABLED right? Disable it

SYSTEM BIOS CACHEABLE
VIDEO BIOS CACHEABLE
VIDEO RAM CACHEABLE .... These were the acceptable settings on older systems, for newer systems, disable all three.

Please explain why. Aren't these things cached in ram to make key bios functions more quickly accessed?
