how do I get IE in a new window?

Whenever I have IE open and I want to open a new window I have to minimize the new one. Otherwise hitting the iten will get my home page in the old window. Anyway of changing this?

Try pressing Ctrl+N (control first, hold it, and press N at the same time). A replica window should open.
