I downloaded cablenut which is a program that is supposed to tweak the modemto make your internet connection faster. Well what it was that now i'm not able to download web pages. My modem works, but i can't download any web pages. I've tried many things, I took the hard drivefrom my computer and put it in another computer with another modem and the same problem persists. Also i'm not able to put the modem in comm1 or 2, it only works on 3, which i think is the problem, or maybe it doesn't have to deal with modem at all. Any help would greatly appreciated.
Cheetah, First resolve the problem with a uninstall of the tweak, remove the
modem from Device Manager, reinstall the modem with the correct drivers it
should find the correct port to use. Also just a little more info ie,Modem,
and OS and if the above won,t work some one here will be able to help.
Best of luck Pot...:)

Cablenut is for people who are on cable internet, not modems.
Look in c:\Program Files\Cablenut, and you'll find the uninstaller. Run it.
Next, open Add/Remove programs in Control Panel, select IE, click the Add/Remove button, and from the menu, select "Repair IE".
Should fix it all up.
